Heather Allan has spent the last 35 years travelling between Europe and India. Her post modern Indian influenced range of bags, purses and Vanity boxes are individually numbered as one of a limited range within the collection.
Heather takes her influence from the sari’s, cloths and Glitzy trims of the Indian market place.
Hence the name “Mapsa Mapsa” in recognition of the inspiration that sprawling bazaar has given.
“Mapsa Mapsa” is the cry of the local bus wallahs!
From this the beauty of the design begins.
Each sari is chosen with particular style and colour way in mind.
There are never more than 15 items made of a particular design.
This ensures an exclusivity and variety of design that borders on art.
